1- (رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ)   [البقرة/201]

“Our Lord! Give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire!” (2/201)

2- (رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ)   [البقرة/250]

“Our Lord! Pour forth on us patience and make us victorious over the disbelieving people.” (2/250)

3- (رَبَّنَا لاَ تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا رَبَّنَا وَلاَ تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا رَبَّنَا وَلاَ تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لاَ طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا أَنتَ مَوْلاَنَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ)   [البقرة/286]

“Our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Supporter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (2/286)

4- (رَبَّنَا لاَ تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ)   [آل عمران/8]

“Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower.” (3/8)

5- (رَبَّنَا إِنَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ)   [آل عمران/16]

“Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire.” (3/16)

6- (رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنْكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاء)   [آل عمران/38]

“O my Lord! Grant me from You, a good offspring. You are indeed the All-Hearer of invocation.” (3/38)

7- (رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِمَا أَنزَلَتْ وَاتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُولَ فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَِ)   [آل عمران/53]

“Our Lord! We believe in what You have sent down, and we follow the Messenger [‘Iesa (Jesus)]; so write us down among those who bear witness.” (3/53)

8- (ربَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِي أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَِ)   [آل عمران/147]

“Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.” (3/147)

9- (رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَذا بَاطِلاً سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ مَن تُدْخِلِ النَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَهُ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ رَّبَّنَا إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِي لِلإِيمَانِ أَنْ آمِنُواْ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَآمَنَّا رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّئَاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ الأبْرَارِ رَبَّنَا وَآتِنَا مَا وَعَدتَّنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ وَلاَ تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَاد ِ)   [آل عمران/191-194]

“Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire. *Our Lord! Verily, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed, You have disgraced him, and never will the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers) find any helpers. *Our Lord! Verily, we have heard the call of one (Muhammad p.b.u.h.) calling to Faith: ‘Believe in your Lord,’ and we have believed. *Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die in the state of righteousness along with Al-Abraar (those who are obedient to Allah and follow strictly His Orders). *Our Lord! Grant us what You promised unto us through Your Messengers and disgrace us not on the Day of Resurrection, for You never break (Your) Promise.” (3/191-194)

10- (رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ)   [الأعراف/23]

“Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.” (7/23)

11- (رَبَّنَا لاَ تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ)   [الأعراف/47]

“Our Lord! Place us not with the people who are Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrong doers).” (7/47)

12- ( رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ)   [الأعراف/126]

“Our Lord! pour out on us patience, and cause us to die as Muslims.” (7/126)

13- (حَسْبِيَ اللّهُ لا إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ)   [التوبة/129]

“Allah is sufficient for me. Laa ilaaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.” (9/129)

14- (رَبَّنَا لاَ تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ وَنَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ)   [يونس/85-86]

“Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the folk who are Zaalimoon. And save us by Your Mercy from the disbelieving folk.” (10/85-86)

15- (رَبِّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَإِلاَّ تَغْفِرْ لِي وَتَرْحَمْنِي أَكُن مِّنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ)  [هود-47]

“O my Lord! I seek refuge with You from asking You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have Mercy on me, I would indeed be one of the losers.” (11/47)

16- (رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلاَةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاء)   [إبرهيم-40]

“O my Lord! Make me one who performs As-Salaat (Iqaamat-as-Salaat), and (also) from my offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation.” (14/40)

17- (رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ)   [إبرهيم-41]

“Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and (all) the believers on the Day when the reckoning will be established.” (14/41)

18- (رَّبِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَل لِّي مِن لَّدُنكَ سُلْطَانًا نَّصِيرًا)   [الإسراء-80]

“My Lord! Let my entry (to the city of Al-Madinah) be good, and likewise my exit (from the city of Makkah) be good. And grant me from You an authority to help me (or a firm sign or a proof).” (17/80)

19- (رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا)   [الكهف/10]

“Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!” (18/10)

20- (رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي)   [طه/25-28]

“O my Lord! Open for me my chest. * And ease my task for me. * And make loose the knot from my tongue, that they understand my speech.” (20/25-28)

21- (رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا)   [طه/114]

“My Lord! Increase me in knowledge.” (20/114)

22- (لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ)   [الأنبياء/87]

“None has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah), Glorified (and Exalted) are You. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers.” (21/87)

23- (رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ)   [الأنبياء/89]

“O My Lord! Leave me not single (childless), though You are the Best of the inheritors.” (21/89)

24- (رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ)   [المؤمنون/97-98]

“My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me.” (23/97-98)

25- (رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ)   [المؤمنون/109]

“Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!” (23/109)

26- (رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ)   [المؤمنون/118]

“My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!” (23/118)

Du’aas for all occassions At the Time of Thunderclapاللهم لا تقتلنا بغضبك ولا تهلكنا بعذابك وعافنا قبل ذلكO Allah, do not destroy us with Your wrath or punishment. Do forgive us before this happens. When Leaving Homeبسم الله توكلت على الله و لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله(I leave) with Allah’s name. I rely on Allah. There is no power to do good or abstain from evil except with Allah’s help.  When Wearing a New Garmentاللهم إني أسئلك من خيره وخير ما هو له وأعوذ بك من شره وشر ما هو لهO Allah, I ask You the good of this garment and the good for which it is made, and I beg You to save me from the evils of this garment and the evil purpose which it might be made   When Beginning any Workبسم الله الرحمن الرحيمIn the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. When there is Excessive Rainاللهم حوالينا ولا علينا. أللهم على الاكام والاجام والظراب والأودية ومنابت الشجرO Allah, send rain in the outskirts, not upon us. O Allah, make it rain upon the hills, in the woods, on mountains, in the valleys and forests.  When Sustaining a Lossالحمد لله على كل حالPraise be to Allah under all conditions When Wearing Clothesالحمد لله الذي كساني ما أواري به عورتي واتجمل به في حياتيPraise be to Allah who clothed me with what I cover my shame and adorn myself during my life Before Going to Sleepاللهم باسمك أموت وأحيىAllah, with Your name do I live and die. When Becoming Angryأعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيمI beg Allah’s protection from the accursed devil When a Fire Breaks outالله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبرGod is the Greatest, God is the Greatest, God is the Greatest.Morning and Evening Du’aاللهم بك أصبحنا و بك أمسينا و بك نحيى و بك نموت و إلبك النشورO Allah, with Your help do I start this day and with Your help do I start this evening and with Your help do I die and to You is our raising On Awakeningالحمد لله الذي أحيانا بعد أن أماتنا و إليه النشورPraise be to Allah who gave us life after giving us death and to Him is our raising up (on the Last Day) When in Financial Difficultyاللهم اكفني بحلالك عن حرامك واغنني بفضلك عمن سواكO Allah, provide me lawful livelihood, adequate to my needs instead of all ill-gotten one, and grant me freedom from needing anything from anyone besides yourself. When an Evil Thought Comes to Mindأعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم امنت بالله و رسلهI beg Allah’s protection from the accursed devil. I believe in Allah and His messenger. On Hearing Good Newsالحمد لله ما شاء اللهAll praise be to Allah. Just as Allah willedBefore Entering Toilet with Left Footاللهم إني عوذ بك من الخبث و الخبائثO Allah, I seek Your protection from the evil and all evils When entering the Market Placeلا اله الا الله وحده لا شريك له. له الملك وله الحمد يحيي ويميت وهو حي لا يموت بيده الخير وهو على كل شيء قديرThere is none worthy if worship besides Allah. He is One. He has no partners. His is the kingdom and for Him is all praise. He gives life and death. He is Ever-living and never dies. In His power is all good. And he has power over all things.  When Seeing Someone in Distress (say softly)الحمد لله الذي عافاني مما ابتلاك به وفضلني على كثير ممن خلق تفضيلاAll praise is due to Allah who granted me safety from what He has afflicted you with and He has conferred on me special favors above a great part of His creation When Greeting a Muslimالسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتهPeace be on you and Allah’s mercy and His blessingsAfter Leaving the Toilet with Right Footغفرانك. الحمد لله الذي أذهب عني الأذى و عافانيI seek Your pardon. Praise be to Allah who removed from me the discomfort and gave me relief. For Increase in Knowledgeرب زدني علماMy Lord, increase me in knowledge At the Time of Sunsetاللهم هذا إقبال ليلك وإدبار نهارك و أصوات دعاتك فاغر ليO Allah this is the approaching of Your night and the disappearing of  Your day and the sounds of those who pray to You. So do forgive me Reply to the Greetingو عليكم السلام و رحمة الله و بركاتهAnd peace be upon you and Allah’s mercy and His blessings Before Having a Mealبسم االه و على بركة اللهIn the name of Allah and upon the blessings of Allah. At the Time of Deathلا اله الا الله, محمد رسول الله. اللهم أعني على غمرات الموت وكرات الموتThere is none worthy of worship besides Allah. Muhammad (S) is His messenger. O Allah, help me to overcome the agonies and difficulties of death. When Leaving a Meeting Placeسبحان الله وبحمده سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك وأشهد أن لا إله إلا أنت استغفرك  وأتوب إليكGlory be to Allah with His praises. Glory be to You. O Allah, with Your praises, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship besides You. I beg Your forgiveness and I repent to You. Expressing Love to a Muslimإني أحبك باللهI love you for the pleasure of Allah After Having Had a Mealالحمد لله الذي أطعمنا وسقانا وجعلنا من المسلمينPraise be to Allah who gave us food and drink and made from among the Muslims When a Dog Barksأعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيمI beg Allah’s protection from the accursed devil  When Beginning a Journeyاللهم هون علينا سفرنا هذا واطو عنا بعده اللهم أنت الصاحب في السفر والخليفة في الأهل. اللهم إني أعوذ بك من وعثاء السفر وكأبة المنظر وسوء المنقلب في المال والأهل والولدO Allah, make easy for us this journey and shorten for us its destination. O Allah, You are my companion on this journey and the protector of my family. O Allah, I seek Your protection against the hardship of this journey, against a bad spectacle and against making a bad return to my belongings, wife and children Responding to the Loveأحبك الذي أحببتني لهMay He love you for the sake you love me When Eating Elsewhereاللهم بارك لهم فيما رزقتهم واغفر لهم وارحمهمO Allah, Bless them in what You have provided them with and forgive them and have mercy upon the. When Bidding Someone Farewellأستودع الله دينك وأمانتك وخواتيم عملكI entrust to Allah your Deen and your belongings and the final outcome of Your deeds.  When Seeing a Muslim Cheerfulأضحك الله سنكMay Allah always keep you cheerful After Drinking Milkاللهم بارك لنا فيه وزدنا منهO Allah, grant us blessing and abundance in the Milk. When Looking into the Mirrorاللهم أنت حسنت خلقي فحسن خلقيO Allah, You have beautified my body, so do beautify my character.  When Boarding a Carالحمد لله. سبحان الذي سخر لنا هذا وما كنا له مقرنين وإنا إلا ربنا لمنقلبونPraise be to Allah. Glory be to Allah who has put this (vehicle) under our control though we were unable to control it. Surely, to our Sustainer are we to return. When Thanking Someoneجزاك الله خيراMay Allah reward you well When Breaking Fastاللهم لك صمت وبك امنت وعلى رزقك أفطرتO Allah, I have fasted for You and in You I believed and with Your provision do I break my fast When Looking at the Moonأعوذ بالله من شر هذا الغاسقI seek Allah’s protection from the evil of this darkening moon  When Returning from a Journeyآئبون تائبون عابدون لربنا حامدونWe are returning, we are repenting, we pray (to Allah), we praise our sustainer When Visiting a the Sickلا بأس طهور إن شاء الله لا بأس طهور إن شاء اللهلا بأس طهور إن شاء الله اللهم اشفه اللهم عافهDo not despair. It is cleansing from sins if Allah wills (three times). O Allah, grant him cure and peace. When Sneezingالحمد للهAll praise be to Allah When in Difficultyحسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل وعلى الله توكلناAllah suffices us and He is the Best Helper. And upon Allah do we rely  At the Time of Distressحسبي الله ونعم الوكيلAllah suffices me and He is the Best Helper When Having Feverبسم الله الكبير أعوذ بالله العظيم من شر كل عرق نعار ومن شر حر النارWith the name of Allah, the Great, I seek protection in Allah, the Magnificent, from every spurting vein and from the evil of the heart of the FireThe Listener’s Replyيرحمك اللهMay Allah have mercy on you After Drinking Wasterالحمد لله الذي سقانا عذبا فراتا برحمته ولم يجعله ملحا أجاجا بذنوبناPraise be to Allah who gave us sweet water to drink by His mercy and did not make it bitter due to our wrong doings  At the Time of Droughtاللهم اسقنا. اللهم أغثناO Allah, quench us. O Allah, send us rain When Intending to do Somethingإن شاء اللهIf Allah wisheThe Sneezer’s Responseيهديكم الله May Allah guide youWhen a Desire is fulfilledالحمد لله الذي بنعمته تتم الصالحاتPraise be to Allah through whose mercy (and favors) all good things are accomplished  When it Rainsاللهم صيبا نافعاO Allah, do send us. O Allah, send us rain When Entering Homeأللهم إني أسئلك خير المولج وخير المخرج بسم الله ولجنا وبسم الله خرجنا وعلى الله ربنا توكلناO Allah, I beg of You the blessing of entering this home and leaving it. With Allah’s name we enter and with His name we leave. And on Allah, our sustainer, do we rely When a Loss Occursإنا لله و إنا إليه راجعونSurely we belong to Allah, and to Him we return
